  • One of the best things you can do for your landscape this month is to add mulch. Mulch is a great way to help keep the moisture in the soil while adding a polished look to your yard.

Fruit and Vegetable Tips

  • It is time to sow your first crop of fall bush beans.
  • This month we are rounding up on our summer garden fruits and vegetables like cucumbers, tomatoes, melons and sweet potatoes.
  • Start planting your late summer or early fall gardens. Semi-hardy vegetables to plant this month includes beets, carrots, cauliflower, chinese cabbage, swiss chard, celery, and irish potatoes.
  • One way to help promote growth of tomatoes and zucchini is to harvest often.
